Application Requirements

Ø Physical and mental health, can   successfully accomplish the learning task

ØEngineering or science professional   sophomores and juniors are preferred

ØGPA 3.2 or above or top 20 in the class

Ø High comprehensive quality and   excellent English（TOEFL 79 or IELTS6.5）

ØObtain parental consent

Ø Have intentions to participate in the   program、independent、responsible   and good at communication

Ø Student who have scientific research   experience are preferred

Courses

The program is held by the Henry Samueli   School of Engineering of UC Irvine, particularly designed for those students   who are interested in continuing their master or PhD in America (especially   in UCI). Students can gain：

Ø Participate in and complete a research   project under the guidance of well-known professor in UC Irvine Ø

ØTraining their research abilities

ØFoster interdisciplinary interaction   gain on the graduate school

Ø Obtain first-hand information about   master program of UC Irvine.

Ø Improve English communication skills

Ø Understanding and learning American   culture, have a wider communication with American students and build up   friendships

Ø Participate in different kinds of extra-curricular activities,   discover Los Angeles and South California

Ø2-6 independent research UCI course   credits

Engineering specialty refers to：Biomedical, Energy,  Telecommunications, Civil,   Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Materials,   Environmental,   Chemical

Science specialty refers to：Physics, Chemistry and Math
