Application Requirements

Ø Sophomore and junior undergraduates are   preferred

ØOnly accept English level test scores   which include oral test,TOEIC 605+(writing 100+, speaking 80+),TOEFL 80+,IELTS(6.5+)

ØGPA3.5+

Courses

Many Faculty members with various   specialties (such as agricultural, biological, engineering, biomedical,   environmental, physical, and biotechnology) from different colleges of NC   State will   participate in this program. Students will be required   to conduct research on   either a small independent project or   assist with an ongoing project in the   host laboratories. Students   will take part in the Undergraduate Research   Symposium on August   2, 2016 and during the 5 weeks students will attend seminars to prepare for   this Symposium in order to help them produce their   final poster.   Students will receive participation credit (Pass/Fail) on their     project.

Major Requirements

Concentrated, but not limited to the   following majors:Electrical and Computer Engineering;   Computer   Science; Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering;   Mathematics; Psychology

二、How to apply

Application Methods

2.Wait for the mail notificationand   submit the application materials to theInternational Office, the following documents can be prepared in advance:

Ø“2016GEAR-Name” Application form(refer to Appendix)

Ø One pdf profile includes the following   contents, and named as “2016GEAR-Name”

    1) Resume in   English(one page)

    2) Academic   Records in English

    3) Proof of   English Proficiency

   4) Personal Statement (two   pages limit). Please indicate your research interest, explain why you     have chosen a particular field of research and demonstrate your   academic   background related to the chosen research area, list   extracurricular actives   and any leadership or volunteer experiences.   In this statement do not include   the names of faculty you wish to   study under.
