To commemorate the centenary anniversary, Xiamen University cooperate with Nature, the world’s top academic journal, launched a series of publicity reports on the 100th anniversary of Xiamen University, which were published in the main journal of nature on January 7, 21 and 25, 2021. The website of the special issue has been officially launched.

The special issue, with the theme of Scaling New Heights, comprehensively introduces the major scientific research progress and development achievements made in the past 100 years. The main contents include interview with the President, the campus profile, the characteristic development and important innovation achievements of the first-class disciplines and key fields such as Natural Science and Humanities and Social Sciences of Xiamen University.

As one of the important contents of the special issue, Zhang Rong, President of Xiamen University, conducted a special interview with the topicA history of Discovery Expands Into The Future, the interview introduces the school management concept, development achievements in the past 100 years and prospects blueprint to the readers of Nature from six aspects: the unique cultural characteristics of Xiamen  University, how to promote the improvement of scientific and technological innovation ability, how to promote the introduction and training of teaching staff, how to carry out talent training, how to strengthen the international exchange and cooperation, and the construction progress of Xiamen University Malaysia.
