September 30, 15:00 Beijing time (8am Ireland time)  On the eve of the National Day, International College conducted a video connection with 5 students of 2018 XMU-DBS Program who are studying at Dublin Business School in Ireland to send the college’s care and greetings. Professor Tao Tao, Dean of International College, Chen Xiangliu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Zou Wenjing, Secretary of the Youth league Committee and 2018 class counselor, Jin Kaiqi, Foreign Affairs Secretary, and Chen Jiaru, the program coordinator and expeditor participated the video connection.

Dean Tao Tao first expressed concern on behalf of the college to all the students participating in the connection, and asked them about their lives and studies in Ireland. Student Wang Shuo said that everything is fine in Dublin. Most of the time, they stay at home and do not go out. Daily food can be delivered through Chinese supermarkets. At the beginning of the epidemic, everyone also prepared protective materials early. Students Zhou Boxiong and Yang Shuqi also stated that their students have overcome their fears at the beginning of the epidemic and have gradually adapted to the pace of life abroad. At present, everything is going smoothly in their studies and life.

After listening to the feedback from several students, Dean Tao Tao expressed gratification to the stable living conditions of the students in Ireland. From the perspective of his professional background in virology, he told the students in detail about the scientific methods of epidemic prevention. He also reminded the students that they should particularly pay attention to the possible virus contact when paying in cash, receiving take-away and express delivery, and do a good job of disinfecting the received items. He emphasized the importance of paying attention to personal health, exercising moderately when staying at home, contacting the health department promptly for medical treatment if there is fever or other uncomfortable symptoms, and at the same time complying with Irish laws and regulations and prevention and control policies. Finally, Dean Tao hopes that the students will maintain an optimistic outlook, pay attention to scientific methods of epidemic prevention, and provide timely feedback to counselors, college teachers, and leaders if they encounter any difficulties. He emphasized that: "Although you are overseas, the motherland, the school, and the college are always the strongest backing for you"

Chen Xiangliu, deputy secretary of the party committee of the college, Zou Wenjing, the counselor of the participated students, and the teachers present also expressed their concern to the students.

In order to better help the students studying in Dublin Business School in Ireland, before the meeting, Dean Tao Tao also conducted a video connection with the Dean of Dublin Business School to learn more about the learning situation of our college students. The one-hour video connection conveyed the college's care for all students studying abroad, and more importantly, gave them the confidence and support to overcome difficulties and complete their studies successfully.
