From November 9th to 10th, 2018, the 53rd sports meeting of Xiamen University Xiang 'an campus was successfully held in the first phase of track and field. On the sports field, the students of International College/Overseas Education College took surpassing themselves as the goal and collective honor as the mission, fought bravely and sweated hard, and won the champion of shot put, 400m in the Women's group, 5000m in the Men's group and many other competitions.

On the morning of November 9th, the sky was clear and white, and the autumn wind was rustling. The majestic performance of drill formation opened the curtain of the sports meeting. International College/Overseas Education College square array comes on stage, blending Chinese and western, colorful. Students from China and abroad waved various national flags, demonstrating the spirit of inclusiveness, harmony and striving to build a community of shared future for mankind. The loud and clear slogans of determination and confidence showed the vigor and vitality of our students.

In the process of competition, the encouragement of teachers and students in our college gives athletes a great momentum, one after another shouting makes the competition more exciting. Our athletes in the track competition area, the high jump and long jump competition area, shot put competition area, relay competition area burst out a tenacious force of struggle. Among them, the first place of the undergraduate men's and women's shot put was won by two students of our college, HONG Yongcai and OU Liang respectively. OU Liang also won the 400m championship in the undergraduate women's group. Overseas Education College graduate students also took an active part in the competition. In addition, our college students have also achieved many excellent results in projects, which are inspiring.

On the afternoon of November 10th, the representative team of the international college of cheerleading won the third place with excellent performance in the 12th cheerleading championship of Xiamen university (Xiang 'an campus).

Although our college failed to win the first place in the sports meeting score list, we are proud of the enthusiastic participation of teachers and students and the spirit of striving to be the first among athletes. We believe that the students will forge ahead with a higher, stronger and faster Olympic spirit, make efforts to build a world-class university with Chinese characteristics, and make more positive contributions to all fields of society in the future.
